Dumpsters are large waste containers issued for special collection vehicles. The city of Morgan City IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for waste disposal of dumpsters.

The schedule for pickup is from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Missed a pickup?
Garbage Disposal Guidelines
All small or loose garbage must be bagged to avoid flying out at dumping
Nothing should be handing out of can
Lids must be completely closed
Cans should be at curbside the night before your scheduled pickup day
Cans should be removed from curbside after dumping as soon as possible
Placement of the can must be with the lid opening facing the street
Do not place can by vehicle, mailbox or any obstruction
No fixtures, ornaments, statues, etc. will be allowed within six feet of garbage cans
Garbage (waste from food) and litter must be in can and not mixed with trash for special pickup
Trash bags not in can should not exceed 20 pounds

2. The contractor is responsible for removal of construction materials and waste, for major construction or remodel or lot clearing, exceeding two yards.
3. The sanitation work schedule is from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If the can is not at the curbside, then the pick-up will be on the next scheduled pick-up day.
4. Report garbage cans needing repairs to City Hall. Place the damaged can at the curbside.
5. Moderate pruning debris and trash, not exceeding four large garbage bags, will be picked up once per week on the designated pick-up day (see map). Must be placed at the curb prior to 72 hours before the scheduled pickup day.
