Employee Spotlight: Rachel Williams

Have you ever wondered...

who's the hardworking cement finisher repairing your street?

who's the person responsible for reading the water meter at your home or business?

or, who's the person on the other end of the telephone at city hall?

We're rolling out a new segment putting the spotlight on the men and women who show up Monday through Friday and on weekends, if necessary to ensure your questions are answered and to offer assistance to meet your needs.

Rachel Williams has over 20 years experience in hospitality and customer service. But, it's her love of talking to people she excels at most. Williams has only been in the position as switchboard operator for  less than a year, but Mayor Lee Dragna says "she's handling business. I haven't heard any complaints and that's good in my book." Williams is generally the first voice you hear when you call city hall. She is responsible for routing calls to the appropriate departments, answering questions, writing and filing work orders for the public.
