Meet the Marvelous Marcrums! This mother-daughter duo was practicing their turns while out on roller skates on one Saturday afternoon. At Lawrence Park, we often see walkers, joggers and families enjoying the playground equipment but rarely do we observe skaters. The sidewalks at Lawrence Park are too much of a skater's dream not to take advantage of the smooth surface.

Mom Marcrum grew up during the 1990s at the height of roller-skating derbies and parties. Chelsye says she wanted to share one of her loves and pastimes with her children, so she bought a pair for each of them. Pictured with matching sunglasses, the mom and daughter (minus her son who left to play golf with dad) were taking advantage of the bright sunny skies during Morgan City's warm Spring season temperatures.
